Qarzee Terms of Use
DRAFT — must be reviewed by a lawyer before publishing.
Effective date: [Effective date]
These terms are an agreement between you and [Company legal name], registered in Iraq, address: [Company address] ("we", "us"), for using the Qarzee app and the qarzee.com website. By creating an account or using Qarzee, you accept these terms. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
1. What Qarzee is
Qarzee is a place for two people to record debts, installments and payments between them, and to get reminders.
- Qarzee never transfers, holds or collects money. It is not a bank, a lender, a payment service or a guarantor.
- Every debt and every payment needs the other person's acceptance before it counts.
- Qarzee does not decide who owes what, does not enforce payment and does not take part in disagreements between users.
2. Who can use Qarzee
- You must be 18 years or older.
- One account is for one person. The information you give (name, email, mobile number) must be true and yours.
- You are responsible for keeping your account safe: your password, the codes we send you, and your phone. You can turn on an app lock in the app.
- Tell us at [Contact email] if you think someone else has used your account.
3. Your records
- You are responsible for what you record: amounts, dates, notes and photos. Record only real debts and payments.
- A record accepted by both people shows what you both agreed in Qarzee. It is not a contract made by us, and we do not guarantee that a court or anyone else will accept it as proof.
- Agreed records can only be changed or deleted with the other person's acceptance. A deleted debt stays visible to both of you as view only.
- You keep ownership of what you add. You allow us to store it, show it to the other person of that debt, and process it as described in the Privacy Policy, only to run Qarzee.
4. What you must not do
- Record fake debts, or use Qarzee for fraud, threats, harassment or anything illegal.
- Add photos or text that belong to someone else without the right to do so, or that are offensive.
- Send spam or unwanted friend requests.
- Try to access other people's accounts or data, attack or overload our systems, or copy the service with automated tools.
5. Limits and plans
Some features, such as how many active debts you can lend at the same time, may have limits that depend on your plan. Recording a debt you owe is always free and unlimited. A change of plan never deletes your existing records.
6. The service
- We work to keep Qarzee available and correct, but we provide it "as is". It may sometimes be unavailable, for example during maintenance or updates.
- We may change, add or remove features. If a change affects you significantly, we will tell you in the app.
- Reminders and notifications help you, but they may be late or not arrive. You are still responsible for your own debts.
7. Responsibility
- Disagreements about a debt are between the people involved. We are not a party to them.
- As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses caused by unpaid debts, wrong records, or decisions you make based on what Qarzee shows.
- Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that the law does not allow us to limit.
8. Ending your account
- You can delete your account at any time in the app (Me → Delete account) or at qarzee.com/account/delete. What is removed and what stays is explained in the Privacy Policy.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after warning you when that is possible.
9. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top of this page and tell you in the app about important changes. If you keep using Qarzee after a change, you accept the new terms.
10. Law
These terms are governed by [Governing law and courts].
